A pink pen writes
Like any other pen
I hold it tight
And write words again
Words in colors
Can you see meaning?
Orange of the sun
Does the ocean look green?
Words in all shades
Black, blue, red, and pink
Words shine on a page
Are they different you think?
Paige my little girl
She can’t go to sleep tonight
The moon must be full
A hike in morning to clear the mind
Space inside my brain I find
Nature draws away my stress
Feelings of relaxation are the best
Soon it is a quiet afternoon
A time to rest and whistle a tune
I write down thoughts as they come
Word after word, there’s more than some
I seek a book I can read out loud
No one can hear my voice, a sound
And so I close my eyes for a nap
Then my book, it falls in my lap
Another great Saturday, its’ a winner
Before I know it, it’s time for dinner
A smile, a grin, my open eyes,
I too can learn to be happy and wise.
The day begins and my heart is soaring,
I know that today will not be boring.
A chance to find my heart’s desire,
A chance to light my inner fire.
A feeling inside for a happy discovery,
I have the strength to pursue inside me.
A new day, a new chance to improve and grow,
I can find a new level of happy you know.
If we don’t try for more we can never see,
How much more happy we can feel and be.
The sunrise makes the sky so bright
It takes away the deep dark night
All the birds singing and squawking
Should I just be sitting or walking?
The day is beginning the day is near
The buzz of activity of day is here
The water of the lake is barely moving
No ripples – just seeing it is soothing
The sky above is blue and clear
If there’s a cloud, it isn’t here
A day to live, to enjoy, to breathe
My smile is so big you can see my teeth
I am happy with this calm of morning
Tomorrow I fly home, I’ll be soaring
Returning to my home, returning to my love
I feel the warmth of the sun above
The warmth is from the inside out
I will be happy to go home, no doubt
One red Thinkpad for a family,
We have one computer but we need three.
The kids like games, I like Netflix
The noisy game music – it makes me sick!
So many electronic devices to cruise
Why a laptop everyone has to choose?
Tablet, Kindle, Droid we have,
but the old laptop is what they grab!
How am I to get anything done?
I can’t pay my bills or order from Amazon.
They say that laptops are going away
In my house it is the device to play!
With a bonus from work or with money from the sky
What can I see? More devices in my eye.
My laptop I bought for writing blogs
I’m resorting to paper, like an old ships log.
Today we time each person’s 30 minute turn
Don’t touch that timer, I got more time to burn!
Scheduling time to use an electronic device?
Instead we should all play Sorry! – that would be nice.
A tree that sways in every gust,
a tree that stands tall – it must.
Leaves of green, some gone brown,
some hold strong, some fall down.
I feel like a tree inside my heart,
the backbone of me is where it starts.
Swaying, swinging, reflecting light,
I stand tall like a tree, what might.
I can’t believe the strength I have.
I finally see life, on which to grab.
The love of my life in arms reach,
He who has so much to teach.
My life is new, its growing branches,
each day my tree of love is grander.

It sounds so fine
A raise in spirit
I can’t believe it!
I need to believe
the words I hear
They make me strong
It can’t be wrong!
Encouragement for me
That I can succeed
I see the way
Today is the day
The goal is in sight
I have no fright
I will finish it
I will win it
All from a word in kind
Without my brain I would be lost
Without a compass time can cost
Wandering through the willow trees
Going someplace, the place to be
Away I go, stepping toward that place
The place in which my dreams are made
The brain is the center, the brain is the core
Be free, be free, just open the door
A walk of opportunity a place for the brain
The brain will take you and show the way
Once in a while I keep wondering why
I look up, and up, and up to the sky
How will I get to where I want to go?
Without compass or stars, how will I know?
Have faith and follow your heart I say
Your heart, it knows, so follow it today.
An idea becomes a wish
A wish becomes a dream
A dream is just a dream
Not real life it seems
Oh dream, Oh dream
How can it be?
What though art?
A vision from the heart?
Where might I go?
My brain will know
It tells me in a dream
What might I glean?
My dream is my guide
My dream by my side
Pushing me along
like a bird’s songs
Dreams grow and grow
Someday I will know
I can live my dream
